Post-Secondary Education Planning Resources
Below are several resources to assist with College and Career Planning. While our school does not specifically endorse any of these resources, they provide useful information for post-secondary planning.
Dual Enrollment/College in High School
At LHCS, juniors and seniors have the opportunity to earn college credit by taking Dual Enrollment courses through colleges and universities. This option gives you a head start on earning transferable college credits in an economical way.
Eligibility Requirements:
GPA of 3.5 or higher in his/her core classes in the previous two (2) semester
one (1) recommendation letter from a faculty member
one (1) recommendation letter from the Upper School Director
SAT score or institution placement exam
Enrollment into the program takes place March 1st-31st of your sophomore or junior year of high school.

*These tests are commonly taken at testing sites in local school districts. Pick the location/dates that are most convenient for you. We suggest you take them at least one time in the spring of your junior year.
Athletics
NCAA Eligibility: Students interested in playing Division I or II college athletics must register with the NCAA. Explore this website to learn more about the NCAA, its athletics divisions, its sports and other information. The NCAA Clearinghouse can be contacted directly at (877)-622-2321.
College / University.
Christian College Fair: Visit this site to find the most up to date information on visiting a Christian College Fair location
Letter of Recommendation Request: Students should talk with the teacher ahead of time to notify them that they will be receiving a letter or recommendation request from a college. You should give them 2 weeks notice to complete on your behalf. Thank them for taking the time to be part of your college application process.
Transcript Request: Please send all college application transcript requests to Mrs.Wise in the Guidance Office.

Financial Aid & Scholarships
PHEAA: College planning and funding for colleges and universities in PA.
FAFSA: Official site of the Free Application For Federal Student Aid (800) 801-0576. Students must fill out the FAFSA to be eligible for federal financial aid for colleges and universities.
Fastweb: Free scholarship search engine
FinAid: Comprehensive financial aid resource with calculators to help evaluate financial aid packages.
